“Dying Words” was a radioplay commissioned by ABC Radio National, and was first broadcast on Airplay in 2008. The work is a black comedy about Max Predesh and his publishing house, Dying Words, which specialises in the niche area of last gasps. As Max tries to convince a client of the merits of euthanasia, we find out what thanatographies are – writing on death – and gain greater insight into Max’s questionable past. “Dying Words” features Rhys Muldoon, Josef Ber, Rebecca Massey, Julie Godfrey, Felix Gentle and Monroe Reimers. It was produced for the ABC by Jane Ulman and Russell Stapleton.
